MOONDATA LABPROJECTS
Moondata LABprojects was an event series which invited musicians, visual artists and DJs to co-operate in special one-time, improvised performances that crossed traditional musical boundaries. Started by Matthew Lederman in Montreal, over the span of seven years (mostly between 2004-2007), they held 40 improvised shows that combined the talents of over 100 musicians, visual artists and DJs, all of them from Montreal. Some of these musicians were unknown, some of them were already famous, and some of them were on their way to greater heights. Sharing the stage were Patrick Watson, Land Of Talk, The Barr Brothers, members of Bell Orchestre & The Besnard Lakes, joined by Kid Koala, Amon Tobin, Jorane, and Lhasa De Sela, among others.
ABDUL LATEEF AND THE DISTRACTION MACHINE
Lateef Martin is a multi-disciplinary artist and founder of Miscellaneum Studios with a background in illustration, dance and music production and beatboxing. Throughout the years, he has created various bike-based 'cyclepunk' works around a zombie apocalypse-plagued universe called Z’Isle. He along with a top production team of art direction and costume design created a show like no other: a live musical theatre performance exploring the mythology and history of Z’Isle.
SOCALLED’S THE 3RD SEASON
The Season, The Season 2, and The Season 3 are hilarious, touching, and unparalleled puppet-heavy indie musicals conceived and composed by Montreal's Josh Dolgin aka Socalled. The producer, pianist, writer, rapper, magician and cartoonist has – in addition to releasing six solo albums and worldwide touring – collaborated with musicians as different as Chilly Gonzales, Wu-Tang Clan’s Killah Priest, Irving Fields or “the architect of funk music” Fred Wesley, famed for his work with James Brown, Susan Hoffman-Watts and Frank London.
CREATURES OF THE LATE AFTERNOON LIVE
Creatures of the Late Afternoon Live is Kid Koala's forthcoming live animated one-take film film told with multiple cameras, miniature sets, dozens of puppets and a crew of fifteen performers, musicians, and cinematographers.
The joyous story features an ensemble of endangered creatures that band together to save their habitat and the natural history museum through the power of music. Featuring original tracks from Kid Koala's 2023 LP of the same name, Creatures of the Late Afternoon Live is a a heartfelt comedy action adventure which explores the threads that connect us all.
This dialogue-free chaplinesque experience is guaranteed fun for audiences of all generations!

Ascension is an immersive multisensory exhibit that features photographic lightboxes of serene natural environments paired with 3 musical movements composed by Rebecca Foon.
WORLD OF BUGS
Create a mockumentary multi-media performance with Kid Koala! World of Bugs is an interactive collaborative event where participants create and film a live episode of ‘World of Bugs,’ a puppet based nature mockumentary.
THE QUIET RIVER OF DUST
The Quiet River of Dust is an immersive live concert and accompanying standalone film performed in a 360° dome, based on the namesake albums (Vols. 1 and 2) conceived by Richard Reed Parry, the polymath multi-instrumentalist at the heart of Arcade Fire.
MUSIC TO DRAW TO
Music to Draw to is a creative community event series hosted by Kid Koala since 2009. Kid Koala curates a 4-5 hour set of "quiet time" records from his collection and invites (quiet) participants to bring something to work on in this creative zone. People come to draw, sculpt, paint, knit, code… in a cozy environment conducive to working.
ROBOT DANCE PARTY
Music. Robots. Bleeps and blorps—it’s a robot dance party! Step one: build your cardboard robot costume (all materials provided). Step two: hit the dance floor and show off your robot moves as Kid Koala spins a set of his favorite electro-vocoder tracks.
ROBOT HOUSE PARTY
Robot House Party is a virtual variation of the Robot Dance Party event. A family friendly online livestream event that transforms your living room into a robot costume workshop and a dance party.

CREATURE FEATURE
In anticipation of the release of his latest album, Creatures of the Late Afternoon, Kid Koala hosted Creature Feature, a 30-minute, interactive romp presented alongside his XR video Four Stares. Presented by 4-VU, the event premiered live as an all ages, accessible as a pay-what-you-can stream in 2021.
Creature Feature was a needle drop through unreleased forthcoming tracks; an unveiling of Creature Corner puppet shorts with AMA (ask me anything) segments, with at least one of these emerging creature luminaries; an International Staring Contest (eye-sports) for those who tune in live, with unique prizes for winners—and the Four Stares XR video world premiere embedded in this cavorting cabaret of multimedia mayhem.
CREATURES BOARD GAME EVENT
Kid Koala invites you to come and play the brand new Creatures of the Late Afternoon interactive vinyl board game with your family and friends!
Together with Kid Koala, participant teams take turns cueing up board game tracks from the album on a real turntable and scoring certain moments of the game. They travel around the game board, meet various music-playing creatures and collect their cards, find musical instruments and recording devices at the flea market, win studio time, gain life experience, collect enough cards to create a song and save the Natural History Museum through the power of music!

Floor Kids is a breakdance battle game featuring unique freestyle gameplay, rhythm challenges, and multiplayer sessions. Build up your crew of bboys and bgirls, unlocking new characters and locations as you cross the city, busting hundreds of different moves and countless combinations on your journey from the corner to the club.
THE STORYVILLE MOSQUITO
The Storyville Mosquito is a live animated graphic novel that’s performed, filmed and scored in real time. A team of performers, musicians, foley artists and technicians cinematically bring the characters to life using miniature sets, puppets, multiple cameras, and screens. The puppets tell the story accompanied by an original music soundtrack featuring a trio of musicians and Kid Koala on turntables, keyboards and electronics.
The Storyville Mosquito speaks to the themes of honesty, improvisation, inner voice, style, and collaboration. It is the follow-up to Kid Koala’s hugely successful Nufonia Must Fall Live stage performance, further developing the emotion, the craft, the art and Kid Koala’s skills as a composer, writer, and in this case, director.
