Pathwaves Futures Worldbuilding Workshop: Come Play at Future Intersections of Technology, Literacy, and Creativity!

Right on the heels of a successful workshop at the 2024 MUTEK Forum, join the Pathwaves team as they present the next Futures Worldbuilding Workshop as part of the 2024 POP Montreal Symposium!

What might the future of digital literacy look like for creative communities in 2035? And how might technological skills drive positive outcomes, innovation and opportunity?

Explore these provocative ideas at the Pathwaves Futures World-Building workshop designed by OCAD University-affiliated Super Ordinary Lab and produced with Envision Management & Production. In a lively and interactive 2 hour experience facilitated by musicians and futurists, participants will be presented with digital drivers of change - hot topics like AI, algorithms and more - and consider how those drivers might influence the way artists create, produce and perform in the future.

Specially crafted for interpersonal interaction and lively conversation, participants from the creative community can push beyond dystopian visions and binary limitations. Through collective futures thinking designed to unearth new insights, artists will engage in an empowering world-building exercise that stimulates a learning, imagining and purpose-setting mindset.
